Why would I order lawn service
when there is still snow on the ground?
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that in my career, I could retire. As you know, time seems to fly; we are distracted with many other obligations that usually take precedence over buying lawn service.
So, why should a homeowner act now? The first issue is timing. February is upon us and it is probably an ideal time to schedule that first all-important application of crabgrass control. Remember this application is pre-emergent crabgrass control. It stops this ugly lawn spoiler from getting a foothold in your lawn. While this is weather dependant, history shows us that the February is the time frame for the first applications to be spread.
Second, you can take advantage of early bird specials, many lawn care companies offer discounts to act now. Typically those discounts will not be available once the season kicks off. Lawn care companies are filling their Spring schedules now. As I write this, we are only 62 days away from the kick off of lawn care season.
Be ready to grow a thick green lawn. Have your first pre-emergent crabgrass control application scheduled now and you’ll be the first in your neighborhood to have an early green, healthy lawn.
So, if you haven’t done so now, be sure to set up lawn service so you are ready to go once the weather breaks.
